Jack, that fishing pothole picture is funny but the big one on the road to my house in Sibulan was that big. It's no problem with the truck to just stop, put it in granny low and growl through it though it is a little hard on cars I think. I just wish the road leading up to and after the pothole looked as good! Actually we just had our potholes filled with dirt, hundreds of them. I'm not too thrilled about where they get the dirt from, side of the road. If they keep doing that they will probably undermine the road base.

The other end of the road to my house has a bridge with wshed out bridge approaches. A small wooden bridge was constructed to allow motorcycles to cross but not trikes. Really it would not be hard to construct wooden bridge approaches that would nsupport a car but I suppose they could not do that because someone would try to drive a heavy commercial truck across it and something bad would happen. At least I do enjoy the lack of traffic noise so there is some benefit.

One of the worse roads is the valencia to palinpinon road,it's a nightmare to drive on even with a 4x4 vehicle, a few months ago I watched them filling in the holes with dirt from the side of the road and stamping on it,first rain and it's gone.

Lets hope he does still read some Davy, he may learn a few things and realize How Lucky he is to have so many decent Foreigners in Dumaguete that in the main, give him very few problems. Unlike some of the areas of the PI we are reading about of Late. Plus of course how well this site does to Advertise & Promote the good name of the City and the businesses here.
