    Hi Everyone,

My name is Ronnie; I was just looking around the web for information about Dumaguete and found this site.

I'll be traveling to Dumaguete in April, then to Dipolog City to see my wife's family.
While in Dumaguete I would like to go to Moalboal and the Kawasan Falls.

What is the most efficient way to get there?

What I'm thinking is there is a ferry ride to Moalboal and then short taxi or motorcycle ride to the falls.

    Thanks,

    Ronnie

I did the trip (for diving ) in november by mototcycle,
Go to Amlan and take over there the ferry, and it is 60 km to Moal boal and the road is very good en less trafic.
Go north and have te see on your left hand and you cant miss Moal Boal (joke).

    Thanks

I very much appreciate the reply, JDiver. Do you remember the times the ferry leaves and the cost? How far out of town is Amlan?

Also, I'm wanting to rent a motorcycle somewhere in Dumaguete or at least nearby; is that possible?

    Thanks,

    Ronnie

I always rent a motorbike at Ting Ting close to the rizal park, direction Cerusliner bus sttion.
On te left side of the street 150 meters from the Shell gas station.
But on that side there are more motorbike rentals.
The ferry is easy to find when you drive the raod to Amlan (good road from Sibulan to Amlan) and you cant miss the ferry , it is before you start to go into Amlan if you see oiltanks that s the place.
I dont know the ferry scedual but I was on the ferry at 09.30 am and it is about a 45 minutus ride to the otherside.
Ferry is about 220 pesos single way.
I dont know if you want to stay over for a night but there is a lot of choice where the diving is situated.

    Greetings J,Diver

    One thing more Ronnie

If you are a diver than take the opportunity to dive at Pescador Island , it is amazing to see the big school of sardines millions and milions of them at Pescador , often the thresure sharks are there to get a goo meal sometimes a big bal of more as 40 meters of sardines.
I did got a UWO over there because it is so amazing beautifull that i cannot put that feeling on internet you must have that experiance to understand that.

    ok

I am a diver, but will not dive on this trip. Thanks for the tip though. The sardines sound amazing to see.

    What is a UWO?

Also, JDiver, how much for motorcycle rental there near Dumaguete?

    Thanks!

    Good day Ronnie

Motorcycle rental was for me 200 pesos a day but I did rent it for one month and got a discount.
I think for a 125 cc you can get it for 250 pesos a day.
Be sure that you have the right papers for the motor because you have to show that at the ferry terminal, no good papers no motor bike be sure about that

About the UWO that is an Under Water Orgasm :D :p
