Sorry I missed you guys today, been out expanding the business. We now have a larger drink selection including SML and a Double Burger Deluxe among other establishment upgrades and another ref. Expect more added soon including Pilsen and more food items.

We have decided to close Ecil's mainly due to a poor location. We are in the process of looking at potential new locations in Bacong. However for now we are closing up shop.

We would like to thank our regular customers and offer our apologies for our need to close up shop. We had a short but good run but the last couple months has just had us see things aren't going to be happening at our current location. If we are able to find a better reasonable location that meets our needs we may be moving and re-opening and at that time if it happens I'll update this thread or create a new one.

    Thank you,

    Chris and Ecil

Depends what you consider grilling. They are done in a pan free of oil (I can't stand when people want to cook burger patties in oil, just ick!). But if your referring to a BBQ type grill then nope. However our burgers are very tender and juicy (not your average recipe but nothing so complex).

My suggestion would be to come by and try one. Well worth it

We are back opened as of now after this mess of a brownout. Sorry to any folks that may have driven by (think I noticed one or two to late) to see us closed due to preserving our food stores under ice and freezers. We survived it though just fine. I'll thank the poorly mostly departed halo-halo ice for that!

Agree with you on this But as an Accountant, I will say you can split it both ways, Price rises are the inevitable in life but can be used as an immediate rise in Gross profits and although I say Gross it will increase your Bottom Line immediately, So to suit both ends of your market just increase 5 peso per Item Today and give yourself say selling 50 items, a Bottom line increase of 250 peso tonight.
Now see how that goes and if it suits all do another 5 peso on the next Round, You will soon learn when it has reached the stage where you has to stop, when it discourages the local. Putting a sign up telling all that as from so & so it will be a 5 peso increase per item or whatever figure you choose [ say 5 p on main items 2 p on add ons] ( Due To Electric costs? ) many will soon tell you what they think, then be guided by the Response. Locals are used to instant increases but I do find they react better if they know before hand and a reason for it.

Just my Thoughts but informing your customers before hand will win you respect & as we know respect will be returned by cash in your Till.

Yup, that is where we are at. I'll be looking into better signage sometime soon as of now its easy to pass us by on our street not seeing us until to late if your not sure where. Stop on by whenever your able, the more the merrier.

We don't do enchilada's though but have a nice fajita and taco. We also have added a ham & egg sandwich (local thing by request) and a double burger deluxe (2 patties). Other new things are Pilsen, SML, juices, and Coke Light.

We are expecting any day our next counter to be finished maybe tomorrow or Sunday from the local furniture maker and then will be adding next week rice meals so the ladies will be a bit happier.

We're doing pretty good though considering less then a month old and word is getting out there. Just have to take baby steps and build up as we can. We want to stay to our goal of inexpensive but good quality food. We are also always willing to listen to suggestions and constructive complaints.

Stopped by there this afternoon. Had the taco wrap, burger deluxe and two coke. Cost 145 pesos if I remember correctly. Excellent quality on the taco and burger. Will return.

Won't let me edit my post. Messed up on the location a bit.

Go past Bacong park from Dumaguete, 3rd street on the right and go down 2 blocks and we are on the corner. Lion Kilat st, small yellow place with a sign *Ecil's Delights and Snacks*
