    I know of one operating in Dumaguete that has suckered several girls that I personally know into giving money to join their scam.

    I have been asked to loan a couple of these girls money so they could have the "opportunity" to buy into the pyramid scheme. I had a sit-down with two young ladies and went through the warning list to identify a pyramid scheme and gave them my honest opinion....they didn't listen and decided to learn that lesson the hard way. I don't blame them and felt bad that it didn't go how they had hoped it would. These ladies had never been offered a real job in their life and they wholeheartedly believed they were going to be able to make some honest money. The scum running that MLM scheme should be thrown in prison for taking advantage of desperate people.

    Can you post or PM the name so I (we) know what 'keyword' to listen for as my wife (our wives and/or girlfriends) talks to her friends in Visayan?

    My advice is ANYTHING HERE where you do little work for a big return with promises of making money where you buy and sell 'products' eg; ANYTHING That smells of Pyramiding period STAY AWAY FROM!! :finger:

    My ex-In-Law's back in Australia were into EVERY Pyramid scheme out there and because I apparently 'have the gift of the gab' I and my ex were targeted relentlessly! ALWAYS: "Come with us we are going out" without explanation and 9 times out of 10 we would end up at some seminar where they would spew the benefits of buying their product and reselling it, but ALWAYS pushing the benefits of creating a 'Team to work under you so you earn a percentage from their every sale'... PYRAMID SALES... :rolleyes:

    They worked from before sunrise to well after sunset, yes it helped to pay their mortgage, JUST! They lived on the edge, worked their arses off and gained VERY LITTLE in return... NEVER bought the BMW they were told they would be driving in 12 months! Never owned a large fancy home! Never dressed in Suits or holidayed! NEVER realised any of the dreams they saw and were told they could acheive in any of those oh so motivating seminars! :punch:

    They WORKED! I MEAN WORKED HARD! Many times, they would ask us to come up and help them arrange for their next day, boxing items, folding pamphlets, amongst 'schemes' they sold Avon, Dominant, ProMA and Amway amongst many that quickly came and went, they also delivered Advertising Pamphlets to Letterboxes as well as delivering Free Local Newspapers to many Suburbs well out of the area they lived in, she also did house cleaning, ironing, whatever she could to put some food on the table and live. :unsure:

    Only one person gets rich in Pyramiding, and the Soldier Ants beneath them will work until they die without ever seeing the promised riches they were told about... :o o:

    As I said, the reason I asked is I am certain as my wife is talking to her friends in Visayan the word 'Pyramid' or 'Scheme" is not going to jump out at me. The name of a company will though and I can say 'whoa, are you talking about Schemo Company?'... and put the brakes on.

    Get your drift but Brian. Avon is not a Pyramid sales thing it is a door to door order thing, My wife still sells Avon (mainly at work now) telephones the orders through to the Shop (Now relocated to Robinson end of Town) then picks up the orders and pays the account less of course the commission's earned on those sales, I only write this because Avon was never going to get on the Pyramid Stage at all. In fact each Agent has a very strict Credit limit on Ordering to ensure that people do not turn it into a Scheme of ill repute, My wife tells me that should anyone decide to do a makeup Party ( Girly night in) Avon will send a senior to oversee what is happening and will have plenty of Stock in here vehicle to supply
    Just so people don't get frightened of Avon :pompus:
    There is money to be made from this particular Company both Morally and legally (with the size of Families here I am Surprised more don't get on as an Agent) :bag:

    Sorry yes I agree, I was trying to remember ALL of the items they sold to try and make a life for themselves, Avon was one of the many items they sold to make a living... :wink:

    I will also state that 'I signed up' to ProMA for their EXCELLENT MBL8 Oil Additive (Cheaper to buy as an Agent) it WORKED! I used it in ALL my Engines and it was AWESOME fro making noisy Timing Chains 99% quiet in Isuzu Engines! Some do have quiet good products, however for me I seem to be allergic to Avon products so cannot use them directly on my skin... I was also allergic to many of the Amway products so I have never bothered with signing up. I did sign up for Dominant in Australia as it was also cheaper to buy as an Agent and the products were VERY GOOD! However; I never had delusions about selling to others and becoming rich in the process... :greedy: :biggrin: hehe

    To add;
    If anyone wishes to use the ProMA MBL8 Oil Additive I can vouch that it works and works WELL! However; if you use a Toilet Roll Oil Filter setup it will filter out the Lead and Copper particles used in MBL8 and NEVER EVER use it on Automatic transmissions, Limited Slip Differentials or anything using clutches suspended in oil that requires friction to operate as they WILL SLIP! It works THAT WELL! :wink:

    I can't remember the name of the company. I just know it is a door or two down from the 711 near Foundation. (I believe it is on the second floor.)
