I certainly do! It's in my opinion a really pertainant subject, since all I ever hear here is guys(us guys), complaining about gasoline prices, electricity prices rental prices, insurance prices, car prices, food prices, etc. My answer is that I would love to see one of those guys try and survive in Australia, cos when aussies come to the Philippines, it's like being in "price heaven" compared to sydney. Ask any aussie.

I most certainly do not miss my Quarterly 40,000+php Electricity Bills I left behind in Oz back in 2014 (using NO Air-con or Heaters!) compared to what equates to around 6,000php per Quarter here!

I feel like that at times (but def. not about rentals) until I remember that I am paying about P40,000 per month LESS for rental and house-related taxes and eating out is a bargain. So I just look at the few higher costs here and see that on balance I am far better off. Thanks Philippines (see 'Dude' I do know where I am  )

I'm pretty sure @TheDude doesn't know where he is at half the time.
d*mn! Rent in my hometown is still around P15k-20k. Electricity about half the cost it is in Philippines. Only the smokes and women are cheaper in the Philippines for me.

Back in SE QLD, Ipswich. Not sure why, but the last 3 houses I lived in (3Yrs in 1 - 3Yrs in the next - 23Yrs in the 3rd one) the Electricity was more than double (triple for some) what friends were paying and they had Air-con and Heaters running around the clock in Summer and Winter! I often complained WHY I was paying so much and had everything checked but (of course) they never found anything amiss so continued Billing me through the nose! Around 30 years of total bullshyte when comparing Electricity Bills with friends with large families! I ended up cancelling my contract when I decided to come here and moved in with my ex-BIL (for the last 10 months) where I shared the costs, and his Bills (without my name on it) always came in at around one third or less what my Bill was, screws me WHY? :o o:

Yeah, about the only thing here thats more expensive than sydney is 2nd hand cars. You can buy many good cheap cars in Sydney, but here its still a "luxury item"
