    Hi Shawn,

    Very good read indeed. Got a question here,
    Do you get yourself a Mortar sprayer for the concrete paving? Or you could also do it the conventional way?

    Some shotcrete equip would be handy but not worth the investment unless you had a very large building. We did it manually, hardest thing was getting the workers to understand it is at least a 4 coat process that will take a few days to complete.

    Hi everyone!

    We are finally in the process of building our house in Dgte and trying to look around for the most cost-efficient building methods and materials.

    So far, this thread has given me a lot of insight that, contrary to my usual habits, I registered to the site. Thank you so much for all the info in here Shawn and all those who corresponded.

    I do have a little question though. When you say four-coat process, considering that the total thickness for one side is about 1.5", how thick do you apply each layer/coat? Is there also a specific mixture of sand/cement used?
