If I do not answer any more, it does not mean, that I agree, your stubbornness can only develop ONE one-sided idea: "Lacking Papers".

Hi Djfinn, thanks for your answer, it seems, that the US-Embassies applicate the same criteria as the Germans, the only problem is, that the German Embassies, specially the one in Manila practices arbitrariness
and capriciousness. I know, that other embassies are more generous.

Or could it not be about race and more about many of these people not bringing anything of value to the country and they frequently overstay their visas?

And after the "minor issue" was fixed he was allowed to get a visitor visa. How about you do the application right the first time?

This is where they might have a case. What leads the Home Office to determine such things? Were the people coming from extreme poverty? I'm sorry, but if so I think they were rightfully refused. Vacations to another country, IMO, is not a right someone is born with...it is something that must be earned and approved by the country you are visiting. If there is a significant possibility you will become a burden to the tax payers of the country you are visiting they have a right to deny you entry. It isn't about race, it is about economics. I don't think they are being racist, I think they are being.....umm.....elitist(?). And I don't think that is illegal.

There ya go; it's not about race. It's about money, or the lack thereof. It's just an unlucky coincidence that much of the impoverished parts of the world happen to not have white skin. Also, isn't being able to financially support yourself part of the immigration requirements?

No it doesn't. I'm sorry, but you can't buy a hotel room, food, water or ticket home with "heritage and culture". Heritage and culture really is "worthless".

That's kinda messed up...as long as their financial situation or purpose of travel hadn't changed.

Maybe because Europe is being flooded with more applications from unqualified "visitors". Still, 72% are getting approved. That's quite a large percentage. If this was really "racist" I would expect the numbers to be reversed - 72% being denied and 28% being approved.

Uh huh. Politician talking. Any time a politician opens their mouth there is an angle being played and facts being omitted.

It was just supposed to be informative. My own thought is given the hoops some folk go through here (myself included) it might add another perspective. I’m trying not to blow my own trumpet, but I wonder if a sponsors occupational status is a factor? Moreover, it would seem even after necessary proof has been furnished a lot of applications are being denied. Not exactly transparent or fair. That’s worthy of scrutiny.
