Get the Stateroom or the Matrimonial room. Private bath, tv and ref in the room, meals in the Executive dining area. I have done it in the past and it is very nice. But at that height, the beds will be short, hope he likes the fetal position.

Stateroom is 2 single beds, and Matrimonial is double bed, much larger room. Both are air-conditioned.

I wrote a long long review of this trip, pressed the camera button on the forum, had to choose photos from a album I had not uploaded, pressed back and all gone ! Juhuuu.

So this is what you get instead.
Ask questions and I will happily answer .

Don't feel like writing it all again :bored:

The ferries here are a joke. Crap food, cramp beds, tiny toilets (doubt he would fit inside one), filthy hallways and the noise.

Let him do one hour on a plane and just have him ask for a front row seat where he has more leg room to stretch out.

I will try to pack in as much information as possible in this reply :angelic:

Ship departs 10 pm, you need to arrive 4 hours in advance.

People in wheelchair will be carried onboard, there is no lifts on boat either.

    The cabin has AC

There is a cafe/restaurant for everyone onboard and a private dining room for VIP.

The state room entitles you to AC cooled lounge are on land, early boarding and access to private dining.

There is no serving for free first night.

    There is:

Breakfast, lunch and dinner in private serving room (private as in shared with VIPs) These meals are included !
You have 2 meal choices in the VIP private dining room on each meal. Servings are ok.. nothing fancy. Bring some fruit onboard.

Bed is comfy, but cabin was freezing cold first night (had to turn of AC)

Regular passengers sleep in bunks, vin rooms packed with at least 50-60 people in each room.

There is a family bunk bed option with 4 bunks also.

I killed 2 cockroaches in the bed and had 1 mouse in the garbage can... probably my own fault as we had fruits.

    Everyone was polite and friendly.

On deck there is no chairs, no serving, no shade..no nothing. Therefore no people either.

    We where 3 foreigner's on-board.

Some people in karaoke and we heard there was some sort of entertainment, but we enjoyed the peace and quiet together with the mouse and cockroaches :bag:

Payed 420 for someone to carry luggage onboard.
    Payed 500 of board.
This included their fee to the Mafia

Internet connection best on globe, some parts of route no connection at all.

It's a container wessel with passengers on top.

    Did I forget something? :pompus:

Army and police onboard, if that's always I donno. Because we transported something very valuable as more heavily armed police was waiting for a specific container. :muted:

Sounds like you got the Matrimonial Cabin. Double bed and table and small chair. Enjoy the cruise, if the weather is nice enjoys watching the islands. If you have binoculars bring them, you can see what the other islands shores have to offer.

They are here now, in the end they took Cebu Pacific. That was my original suggestion and that of many who posted.
    Thanks!

Been on that ferry from Manila to Bohol two times, first time was great we had a first class cabin and the weather was perfect. Second time we weren't that lucky, had to share a cabin like dormitory and the weather was bad, sea was rough and folks vomiting all over the place. They had entertainment on board but, never again.
