Banking, how and where do I keep my money? America or?
Guns, can I bring my firearms to this country?
What kind of jobs is available for Americans? Is it hard to get a job in the Philippines if I am not a native?
Precious metals? How can I move them to Philippines? Also where would I keep them in a local bank or other area?

Bring pets. Is it a big hassle or easy to do and pet friendly apartments?

I dealt BPI and BDO for foreign transactions, any expat can obtain an account just present your valid ID's like passport and driving license, better NOT to have a joint account with any locals not even your wife(not unless she's an Orphan).

Gun's was easy for foreigner's GF or wife, but this year the licensing department becomes very strict. Bringing weapons is a NO!
I knew some expats managing resorts,bars and some of them are working online.

Don't bring anything precious here, we are still in a third world country, anyone including me & my neighbours might be interested!

This is a tropical country the weather is bipolar same us the people! so better not to suffer your pets if you don't want to spend for air-condition and meds.

Most of the apartments here doesn't allow pets, you need to find a house with a lawn.

So that explains why now asawa is paying 100 pesos per item instead of 50 pesos per item like before... The guy at the Post Office told her there were new taxes being charged because her Husband is Australian.

Would this new Tax also apply to Balikbayan Boxes? I plan on sending 3 or 4 large Boxes just before I leave here, one Saucepan set originally cost several big kahuna's to buy so if they plan on charging me 50% they can keep the d*mn things!
