Prime (as well as Hulu, Disney and ESPN) is a pain on smart TVs where you need a router that is capable of connecting to VPN services. Not an incredibly hard thing to acquire/do but still a limitation for that service.
Takes a few minutes...to reset the link to ExpressVPN after a brownout. The PLDT router can be permanently changed but I’m reluctant to do that. I’ve two devices connected to the TV, ROKU and Apple. Daughter prefers US movies, TV shows, Amazon music, Kindle books, Disney+, Netflix, she watches via Apple. Spouse...and her guests watch free Filipino shows on ROKU. PLDT offered $20 monthly increase 20mbps to 100mbps several months. I’m getting 2 WiFi connections simultaneously on 1 router. I don’t know about Globe, Sky, Fil, and other carriers but with PLDT I can connect to their servers. There’s a speed difference. With the VPN...I can connect to just about any server in any major city. This permits local live programming. I have Sling, Hulu....and others.
If you have a smart tv (you would know if you do) then the tv would have apps (software) to connect to streaming services on its own (provided the tv is connected to your router (either through wifi or networkcable). If your tv isn't "smart" then you will need a device (e.g. a Google Chromecast) that does the smart stuff instead.
Yeah it's a smart TV, I get Netflix, You-tube. and others I don't use. I was wondering about apple TV or Roku being connected to the TV. I have my answer, thanks to Mr Google.
