    Hello,
Here I am again counting on the forum to help me. I was planning to do my own taxes this year but I have realized that I need help. Is there anyone around Dumaguete or even Cebu that knows the IRS rules. I wouldn't even need them actually fill out the forms as I plan to file electronically. I just need advice so I can file online. Just for info sake, the main issue I'm having is how to deal with the capital gains for selling my interest in a small C corp biz. There's very little else involved.
    Thanks.

Thanks. But unfortunately that's where I started and what got me to decide that I needed some guidance. The rules about capital gains are sort of a maze:eek: . For instance the "goodwill" value may be taxable on only 50% of the gain in certain situations:confused: . Anyway, I appreciate your reply but I'm still hoping to get some knowledgeable help.

Check with the consulate in Cebu they usually have some people scheduled there for a few days during this time of year and being overseas you get an extended deadline
