Yes I know, I have been here long enough to have come to terms with it but I just can't do do 2 things at once in Different Parts of the City. Today I have a Load of Top Soil Coming, What time I ask, OH! before 5.30 maybe 4.30. OK so then I sit and have Coffee, Now as I write at 9.30 My Gardner has not Turned in again. I am due in town to talk to a lady about a favour/Buisiness for a Friend here on DI. So I ask My maid Will you see it in for me (The Topsoil) but Sir Ma'am gave me the Afternoon off to go to my Sisters. So I ring her indoors in the Office and get the Well, you can be there can't you. YEP of course where else should I be but here or rather I should be in town at 12 noon to do something YOU said, you would attend to. AH! Sorry, next time. I was busy Yesterday (eating no doubt for a Birthday) and ran out of time so I have to work harder this morning When OH! When, are they ever going to learn, TIME is one of the most costly things we have. Great pains I think we take to make the Day go by and do the things we need to do But NO! It is more fun Our Way (Theirs I mean) . YEP! and at our cost, either in Cash, Lost time or Materials we can't always get Back. I can't go if it is not here before 11 as they may come this Afternoon and will Tip it out side on the Road and be GONE in 1/2 an hour to some other Garden somewhere. Rant over but I feel better for it JP
I find to help the stress of waiting for delivery or appointments to the house, I make them the first thing in the morning. I delay any trips to town that day and have some projects at home to finish.
Hey! I live in New York City and get the same treatment when I need to take deliveries or service calls. Cable TV companies are notorious for never giving an accurate time for their calls. Oddly, the most prompt service calls I get are from the Filipinos who come to collect the occasional balikbayan boxes.
