Hi just wanna know if it's advisable/good to travel alone in dumaguete. I'm visiting dumaguete for the first time on jun 3-6. Can you suggest of a good place to stay and places to go?.. Thanks much :-)
Hi Jack, as long as you're not 117 years old :D You shouldn't have any trouble traveling alone, many tourist's and repeat visitors do. You can use the links on this forum or use the search function for lots of hotel and resort reading. Ron
There are lots of places too see here like twin lakes,lake balanan, mabinay caves,niludhan falls,tambobo bay and the reef at dauin,just a few to keep you busy. Maybe a good idea you give an idea how much you want to spend on a hotel/resort and do you want to be on beach or ? There are plenty of good resorts in dauin with a range of prices if you want to be out of town, also in the city or boulevard.
jack117, we can offer more if you would like to give us an intro about yourself. where are you from, what do you like to do, and what sort of budget are you on coming here. There are hotel/resorts from $12 to $259 a night, for example. Do you ride a motorbike, are you looking to hire a driver to take you around, do you scuba dive, do you like to drink beer with the guys, etc. In the Philippines, it is not real difficult to find a partner to travel around with you, if that is your inclination.
