Well if you tell someone they are an idiot so many times he will think he is an idiot.

Be told you have no rights so many times the old adage " Can't beat them Join them "comes in

I am sure you will get your Refund but When? would be my next Question to them.
We all deal with these things so very differently,

My table thumping attitude ceased when I got arrested.
As I say, each to our own.
Hope your trip back goes OK. Sorry we never got to have that beer, next time maybe?

The law says the time frame in which they have to give you a refund. I'm not saying I would go there thumping the desk. I would just sit there and ask as many questions as possible....then once all my questions were answered I would ask them all again....and again....and again (but very politely). If I miss my flight I have nothing but time.....and I would spend that time annoying the crap out of them until I got what they were legally required to give me.

Had a lot of friends leaving the first couple days I was here so wasn't able to get away from that. Set up the DI thing at La Fiesta (you were busy for that). Then the last couple days we have had nothing but sh*t weather. 7 months I'll be back.

Well wish you well on this part. There are days when I have absolutely no patience, most times my days start good and then there is always that One thing or Person.

Subject to a Nuking indecent or having a contract put out on myself I shall still be around:D

I took the one offered when ordering the ticket online with PAL. Turned out to be useless in the case of cancelled flights though once you read the details.

I have "unusual" travel itineraries and high priced flights. The 50 bucks is nothing on top of the flight costs. I will take a look at the small print though.

When buying travel insurance i normally use independent from the airlines...they normally have their arses covered in theirs..
I needed a letter from pal saying their flight was cancelled from here to manila couple months ago for my insurance company...
was like getting blood out of a stone..took 4 weeks...
same deal, got to airport, lined up to checkin, was told plane cancelled
had one cancelled in australia bout month before that, got email from them 4 hours before flight was due to leave with letter attached
for travel insurance........big difference between jetstar and pal
