Not from what I see. The vaxx wasn't present in the areas the variants developed, at least not appreciably.

The variants always develop from replications, always. Geert talks as if vaccines create pressure that forces the virus to adapt - direct causation. That's old thinking to me. There would have to be some type of feed back loop, and the virus isn't complex like us, it just replicates producing bad, mediocre, OK, nice, and then a variant with an advantage. Getting the successful variant is a numbers game, and it can occur early or late. It occurs whether or not there's a vaccine by replication and chance.

That was my plan too. I was watching Singapore since they're rich and good in medical science, but no abundance of good vaccines. Then it became apparent that to travel, you would most likely have to be vaccinated. So I resigned myself to getting vaxxed, then getting a better vaxx. After the Indonesian results I was less concerned about Sinovac, but the non-release of data had really put me off. China has had internal problems with its vaccine manufacturers before. And Sputnik 5 has manufacturing problems. I looked at the vaccine schedule and was not happy.

EDIT: if Chinese, as warned by our learned friend, I will not take it up the arse. Still a virgin. The arm has been penetrated many times.

True - but it may happen due to vaccination as vaccination is ramped up (it is a fact that because something has not happened it does not mean it will not happen). When vaccination is ramped up in India, for example, it might knock out the milder variants in favour of the more virulent ones.

That is true only of diseases caused by a pathogen. Cardiovascular disease, for example, may result from an increase in high blood pressure and there is unlikely to be a gene-carrying cause. However diseases of old age, especially, can be due to mutations within our own genes.

The variants will show themselves by replication - if they don't replicate then they can't be seen. But it is possible that one single virion could have its nuclear material changed by something before it replicates - radiation, chemicals or other causes (the genes are amazingly only sequences of a very small number of bases). But that single virion would not be spotted unless it replicates and expresses mass effects.

I think I could return to the UK without prior vaccination - just get tested first. Same as moving around provinces here.

I know some countries are being harsh on their own citizens - I have read lots of that about Australia but other countries may be acting the same.
