About time too, have paid income tax, with-holding tax, land taxes, VAT etc etc(also on or before they were actually due), for the last 30 years here, time to get a bit back.

- There's an application/processing fee, which, using a tourist visa as an example, is $160 for just about everyone who requires a visa (citizens of some countries don't). That fee is non-refundable even if the application is denied.
- Then there are issuance/reciprocity fees due only from citizens of certain countries, and only if the visa has been approved.

How many years are we going to keep beating a dead horse? Some foreigners do indeed have and use the Philippines Senior Citizen Card, I wonder what the penalty would be if busted for taking advantage using the card. The claim,”your honor I was given this card by a government employee”. Judge: “well it wasn’t me so pay up and pack your bags”..

BTW, this was hashed out in another forum in 2016, exact same failed 2011 bill S.B 2832 is mentioned.
One of the best posts I found from that thread:
"It would be helpful if everyone specified which of the two senior discounts they are talking about. It seems too many here are lumping them both together and they are not the same.
1) The nationally mandated Filipino citizen discount which requires the senior citizen card.
or
2) A company's decision to offer a senior discount to all customers not covered by the mandated plan."
