Agree. She is likely much better off in the foster system in the US than living in squalor and going through the sub-par education system like 90% of Filipino do.

Hopefully, here in the U.S., they will be able to place her with family (assuming there is family here). If there is no family here, then she will go into the foster system. There are many wonderful foster families, also. She could still end up quite happy and successful here.

what I have heard is the girl has an american passport but its expired her mother was Thai not filipina. she has never been to the U.S. So far this is all I know at the present time but I will update as things happen.

@Dave_Hounddriver I think your idea of the girl staying here in the Phils is very good. There are many short comings in this country but conversely the family values here are better than in my country.
Is there someone that can advocate for the girl. I have little faith in the US embassy here.
Maybe the OP can visit the people caring for the girl and help guide them.-

So this girl has a Thai mother and an American father and no money or relatives in Philippines? Has she any residency visa or citizenship papers for Philippines? Methinks she needs to be adopted or deported or jailed for illegal alien. I am not suggesting any of these courses of action. I am asking: would this not be the law for an illegal alien?
