FS Shure Beta 87A Condenser Vocal Microphone

For sale here is my practically brand new twice used lang na Shure Beta 87A Condenser Vocal Mic. The only times I used it was when we tried recording our songs in the studio. I'm selling it because our band hasn't been doing much since I bought it when I was at the Makati EB last year. To prospective buyers please note that this mic can only be used if you have a mixer with phantom power (It cannot just be used in just any karaoke machine). I'm selling it for thousands off my purchase price. Selling for P10,500 lang (with shipping) including the klotz cable terminated with xlrs that didn't come with the package. Basically you save more than P5000 off the original price. It comes with the box with all the documentation,the mic holder and case.


Just for kicks I did a side by side comparison with the sm58 and it blew them out of the water. This mic is so much clearer with all details present. Saliva and throat sounds can be heard so clearly while with the sm58 its practically all lost. It has a very good pickup pattern that has less feedback than the sm58. This mic is also much more sensitive than the 58 when phantom power is on. It used to be that I'd have to shout out the songs when singing with the band when using the sm58 in the studio. With these you are much more at ease when singing. This is the same mic Michael Buble uses in his concerts for example.

Yes i have used this mic as well and it is very good :-) If i was singing with a band over there i would definitely buy it , but i do not know if i will be accepted as a singer over there because I am a foreigner But i hope i can some day hahaah I Miss singing . I will be there in about 2 months maybe we will meet if your a player as well

 

Hey are you located in dumaguete? I'm in hawaii right now but I'm here to ship my stuff to dumaguete so i will stay there all year long and do only one month ayear in hawaii for as many years as I can. I am paying for my travel return and some cargo return full size korg triton extreme 88key board and a korg D32 all phantom powerable tracks and a Dr880 drum machine and a rolannd KS 350 multi channel keyboard amp..All the goods i need for pro sound but my mics. are cheap radio shack mics.. If I make it through customs with all this cargo gear and have money left over,,i will be interested in that mic.so far as i dont price one cheaper in the USA here b4 I leave. I'll return b4 june is over still waiting on new atm card here ,,bank said its mailed so as soon as i get atm i buy my ticket next flight out... Oh as you know i will have recording studio in dumaguete so feel free to look me up for jam fun Will do haya hay gigs,,Hope my gear makes the trip safe and undisapeared

I've tried to sell it to the owner of hayahay thinking they might need better mics but it seems they are content with what they have since I havent gotten a reply. Anyway its in the box and not being used at all at the moment since I don't even have a mixer with phantom power to be able to use it with.

 

So the live music is alive in Dumaguete :-) I can hardly wait as i know a lot of awesome musicians here in Canada that are Filipino so to be at the source will be cool :-)

 

There are a few places with live bands most days of the week. Its probably not as good as Cebu though.
