Appointments are made with each doctor's office, each doctor's receptionist. You can call the hospital switchboard to ask for referral to a doctor with hours that day 523-5957. Some doctors split their week with Silliman Medical.

On the topic of hospital and PhilHealth ... a relative just had a surgery performed at the new Polymedic hospital. Before the surgery they were given an estimate of an approximate cost for the surgery of about 100,000 peso. Final bill: 650,000 peso. And, of that amount, their PhilHealth insurance paid 13,000 peso.

How did they explain the difference between the estimate and the final cost?

They explained the difference by saying, "sorry sir, we are a very new hospital". I would not like to say what the surgery was, we are still getting medical treatments and service there and I would rather they didn't identify me. I will say this, from start to end the surgery took just over 30 minutes. We had to provide a "watcher" to be in the room 24/7 (I guess they don't have enough nurses to be able to monitor their patients). The surgery was scheduled for 9:00Am, and at midnight the night before the surgery a nurse came to the patient room and handed the watcher a list of drugs needed for the surgery and explained to her that the family is responsible for providing these drugs to the doctor before the surgery. They did that at midnight the night before the surgery. It's really a shame because both Ace and Polymedic are nice shiny new hospitals, and you would think boy we are lucky to have nice new hospitals here available to us ... but they are both terrible. I would recommend Silliman miles above either one of them, and PhilHealth is utterly worthless.
