Hi all, I have been trying to buy Generic Medicine here in town on several occacions, despite the fact that in almost every Drug Store are hanging large posters of Government prices of many different drugs that according to the information on said posters, are supposed to be available at Government controlled prices (to help the poor Filipino), I have not been able to buy the drugs or they were actualy higher priced than the regular ones. I wanted to buy the generic of "Canesten" a anti-fungal ointment the price would have been less than half than the "Original" but no stock! I am on "Coumadin" Warfarin a bloodthinner, I buy this at San Francisco Drug Store besides Holy Child Hospital for 36Php for a 5mg tablett, the Government price is 47Php! how is this supposed to help the poor people and also I would like to know where there is a Government Drugstore where the Generic Drugs are actually available.
Try the Generic Pharmacy drugstores, that are popping up every ware at the moment .I get most of my stuff from them , No complaints so far !.
I do too! 3 locations in Dumaguete. -next to qualfone -north hightway in daro opposite mercury -on peredices about 3 blocks north of Lee Plaza PS. I do find them out of stock quite frequently when I inquire about 108mm condoms
@ Generics Pharmacy, if that branch says they dont have stocks on that certain medicine. Try asking them a favor, can you dial your other branch if they have one there...I always do that and at last, the other branch got stock.
We often hit GP in Cebu when we are there, and stock up a month or two at a time. "No stock" gets old after a while. Larry
