Finally had it with these clowns. Several times we've made a grooming appointment with them, only to wait while either they gave a walk-in customer priority over a prebooked appointment, or the groomer turns up to work 2 hours late. Today we turned up, only to be told that their other groomer called in 'sick' 5 minutes before he was due to groom our dog, and their main groomer Elmer was on leave. A bit of discussion revealed that Elmer has actually resigned and moved to a pet groomers in Banilad/Mangnao, called Pet Lover(?), which we're now trying to locate. Any clues welcome. The Gentle Paws owner is trying to tell people that Elmer is on leave, and doesn't want the truth about his resignation to get out, for fear of losing clients. How surprising...
I am surprised by the number of pet shops in the Dumaguete area, i think i have seen 4 or 5 branches of gentle paws plus all the others, it surprises me that there is enough customers to keep all these shops in business. My wife is a pet lover and all our pets are pampered but from what i have seen around me most people don't treat or look after their pets very well. I have never seen so many scabby dogs.
Which gentle paws was this? The are many in the area. I went to the one in Bacong once. I certainly wasn't satisfied as I do a far better job with a hose, some cheap shampoo (the same cheap brand they use) and a brush but had no issue with the appointment, customer service or price.
Yep that's the one: it's called Pet Luv Central (I couldn't find it online because I don't spell love with a u) - thanks. The one near Hypermart.
I took my husky to get groomed there today. Text them for an appointment late last night and had a confirmation before I woke up in the morning. They did a good job with it. Took a little over an hour. Will return as long as they keep those two guys working there.
Yes, it's our new go-to place. Elmer is great with our rather excitable dog, and they seem organised and efficient.
