To add, treat them with respect, don't talk load to them, praise them when they do well. When I had my business in Aust I employed a fair few of them, male tradesman. It's what first brought me to the Philippines about 15 or so years ago. As an employer you soon learn fast what makes them productive and happy. Best thing I ever did in my business and eventually they introduced me to my now wife.
