The requirement for a senior cabin crew to be in the cockpit was not a caa requirement in some eu countries when the pilot or co pilot leaves.
I see easy jet has announced this am that they will now follow along with Ryan air.

I bow to this knowledge Davy but it should be Mandatory for 2 people to be in the cockpit at all times, given the override factor on the lock and in the unfortunate case of a heart attack and such like. To me this is just common sense. Don't you think?

On a recent trip to Manila I happened to be sat in the front seats on a Cebu Pacific flight, I noticed when either of the crew came out a flight attendant entered the cockpit.
But a couple of times the cabin door was not shut.

To me that's the way it should be, (not the Cockpit door open I mean) but at least there is Food for thought there.
