Upon arriving the place resembles a paradise resort,it's a restaurant /bar combo ,.with brick oven pizza that all the other brick oven pizza impersonators in town can't touch! The pizza is priced great and is better ! The science of pizza has been discovered I could say in the Philippines..the place is large ,clean ,new and on the beach.the setting has no traffic at all.cold beers , full bar ,nice staff of girls, the best of the best .no more imitation pizzas ,this is the best of the best in the best setting, enjoy. 3km south of Bacong on left,to beach look for sign to Jerry's on the beach.,.i feel sorry for the other pizza places, after the town sees this.enjoy!

Well, my wife and drove out to Gerry's on the Beach today to check the place out ...

Really a nice place down on the beach. Very comfortable and clean. Lots of room so you don't feel cramped. Service was excellent and food was really good. Beer was cold!

Talked to the owner (Gerry) ... He is a real pleasant guy and even bought me my first SMB since it was my first time there.

I will say this .... The pizza was by far, the BEST I have had here in the Dumaguete area. I will venture to say that it's the best pizza I have had in the Philippines. The crust is not some frozen crap, but all handmade. The pizza is baked in a brick oven heated with wood. Gerry told me it's about 700 degrees F in the oven ... Anyway it makes the crust perfect! The sauce on the pizza is very good. Not some spaghetti sauce that comes out of a can or bag either. The cheese is not some of that nasty Filipino cheese I have had on other pizzas here in the PI ... it is very good!

Anyway, we will be returning for more!

    Ron,

We enjoyed a vegetarian pizza with Jerry yesterday. Excellent pizza and very good value for money. Shared it and were struggling to finish.

The Lab dog joined us and for us was zero problem, really a cute doggy. Jerry assured me if bringing someone whom has problems with dogs around he would remove same. My brother is the perfect example.

The place is neat, especially sitting right on the beach with a cool breeze eating pizza and enjoying a cold beer shouted by Jerry.

Further although he is kinda busy with constructions he seems to make time for customers. Gave me an excellent contact to have my spiral staircase made, which we are proceeding with. Jerry is a great source of local knowledge for construction.

My apologies if the dogs disturbed your time here. There are about 20 street dogs (unsupervised) roaming the beach here and they do not come onto the bar property as a result of the protectiveness of Von and Feebee.
Both my dogs have been hand raised with our daughter and have never growled or snapped at anyone.
Please advise me when you return and I will remove them during your time here, an hour or 2 on the leash will do them no harm, again I apologize for them making your time here less than enjoyable.... . This is Von having a shower with a customer's son after a swim last week.... Gerry 09082117077 Photo0876.jpg

Went here with 'the family' yesterday (Good Friday) after reading up about it on DI. We all enjoyed the food, the warm welcome and yes; true to his word, as a first time visitor Gerry bought me a beer - so how could I not like the place right?

My wife, sister & baby loved splashing around on the beach and it was lovely to meet fellow expats and have a good chat. Gerry & his staff are hard working and very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and he really does know how to mingle, introduce a newbie (like me) to others and ensure everyone is at ease.

The directions to Gerry's on the beach are accurate - but it's worth noting that until the road sign is changed, the 'Pizza Sign' on the road doesn't actually say 'Gerrys on the Beach' it is a resort name. I drove past twice as I was suspicious a competitor may have been trying to direct me somewhere else? This needs changing quickly! I've already mentioned it to Gerry, who assures me a new sign will be out on the road soon - great! He needs to advertise the place as "Gerry's" then newbies like me will know for sure we are heading to the right place etc...

Support this place. I enjoyed meeting other expats and I really liked the fact that my wife & her sister immediately felt at home and were able to chat with other Filipinos who were happy to talk and not be bitchy (like so many can be like unfortunately). Gerry's staff are also really nice, fun and attentive - so you can't ask for more. One tip would be to invest in a high chair so that expats with young children (like me) can lock the little devils in place and I'm sure after reading this Gerry will sort that out. Family's do spend more money, so a high chair for the kids would be a nice touch....

Well done Gerry. I'm a fussy olde bugger - so finding myself wanting to go back already must mean something! Oh, and the beers are really nice and cold too! Best wishes Gerry & good fortune. Andrew, Angela, Julie-Anne & little Harvey.x

#i was at Gerry's with my gf and it was a great dining experience. that time, we get a cordon bleu and vienna schnitzel, both excellent quality, i also recommend the salad with a great sour sauce, i love it. we also got a piece of free pizza (even we were full already) and it was also great, surely better than at most other places, even i do not know all. Gerry is a nice guy, very friendly and caring the guests, and the whole staff did also a great friendly job - this place is fully recommended
