Good article. As the article indicates, I am type O blood and normally have a little wine so that makes me a likely meal for those buggers. My little boy is type O as well so we better keep him covered up.

100% deet seems to work well for mosquitos, fleas and ticks. It will also kill cats, so don't pet them right after applying it. The lesser concentrations of deet found in other products is probably safe for the cat but may not be totally effective against the bloodsuckers.

    hey PatO
i've read (many) good reports about using Avon SKIN SO SOFT BUG GUARD Plus IR3535® Expedition. if your interested and can't find an avon rep, the little woman can check and see if it's available here and she can get it for you and we can drop it off on one of our duma expeditions.

also, to rid your entire yard of the blood suckers, expats in bocas del toro, panamá raved about a Mosquito Magnet .

    norm : ))~

Hey Norm, thanks. My mother-in-law is an Avon rep so I will have her get me some and give it a try (along with Green Cross, if I can find it). How's it going for you up in the boondocks? Last we heard you were having problems with a butted neighbor!

The best you can do is search and remove any open (Even small pot or basin) water near your house because mosquito 's have a very short range flying.
