I recently got back and the second thing i always do is add a 999 internet package to my phone for 30 days unlimited internet,,
this time i have added it and the signal is terrible! this time 6 months ago i had a lovely 3g signal at my house, and now i getting sporadic signals not good enough to hold a viber/skype/facetime conversation, i am lucky this morning as i am connected this!

what on earth is going on ,,,, is this a typical company that takes your money and many others and then oversubscribes it, lets cell towers deteriorate and cannot handle the capacity? thats my guess, the greed with out giving the service i am paying for,,,,, and who you gonna call? well it may as well be the ghostbusters as no one will fix it for you here......

You have to test by pinging something outside the Philippines to get a true idea of your internet speed. I have seen sub 5 kb/s downloading when throttled and up to 120 kb/s. If I really need some bandwidth, I guess I need to go to Dumaguete with my laptop tethered to my phone. I'm trying Globe now. The first day with Globe was working well enough to get throttled, since then I don't think I have enough bandwidth to use that I need fear being throttled.
