    The install guys finally showed up and brought the correct modem and antenna. Now let's see if I can get that discount on the bill.

    As for the bill, they said I had to call their helpline and speak with billing about getting a reduced bill for not having internet for 25% of the month. How hard could that be? :banghead:

    We never had a prob getting refund in robinsons,just told them check out the file with Manila,they don't like doing it because they are too lazy but insist and just sit there until they fix it.
    I think we must have a red mark on our account now as they never question is anymore they just credit the bill :biggrin:

    Just great how the internet works hey guys!,,,,,, Did i ever write the story of how the smart internet is pretty much as great service as your globe or maybe even WORSE! they are all terrible ... the installation man wanted 65,000 to put a antenna BACK up that had fallen down off the roof, now the house just has 3g globe while awaiting for the cable thats already been laid internet to actually be connected,, (only been 2 years so far)

    My Globe is very reliable, gives me what I pay for, 3Mbps for 1299p, even on a stormy day. But it is landline. Before I had Smart wireless with constant problems. So fault is not simply at Globe or Smart but depends on local variables. Landline rules :cool:

    Agree, which is why I wasn't in a hurry to switch service. I know they all suck and regardless of the ISP getting any of them out here to hook up a modem/antenna/service was going to suck. Globe did call to ask if the install team came out and had badges/uniforms (they didn't all have uniforms and I didn't ask to see a badge/ID but I told Globe they did since the install guys actually did their jobs this time) and asked if the service was working this time.

    If it was the two install guy we have they are pretty good guys,they've helped us out and sorted stuff on a few ocassions before but globe have clamped down now on bandwidth stuff so their hands are tied. They know the score though but there is nowt they can do anymore. We asked about lte once and they said stay with adsl as long as possible as lte will be overloaded soon.

    I had them come out again because it wasn't working for sh*t for the past couple days. I have two problems: the signal is low in the afternoons and I am over the monthly data limit (36GB). I've only had this sh*t service for 3 weeks, I'm paying more money for lessor internet. I told them to take their crap 4g modem out of my house. Of course they didn't and just walked away. I guess they will figure it out when I stop paying the bills.

    I live in an area that Smart LTE covers. They advertize up to 42mbps, 80% reliability and no Bandwith limit for pre paid P995 per month. I started around 7 months ago with actually better reliability than advertized and an average of 20 mbps.

    The last 6 weeks or so the reliability has dropped to around 50% and a steady decline down to 2 to 3 mbps. As of now it still works for me, but normally it shuts down around midnight and starts again around lunch time.

    The one positive, unlike before they actually answer their help line now. They say they are working on my problem. So will it get better or worse? Only they know or don't know.
