These shouldn't even exist, given "net neutrality" and all. Maybe this is something different?

They came out today and attempted to fix the slow connection. They raised the antenna about a meter and they said all was good. I had them sit down with me while I ran a speed tests to check.

First I tested the speed to a server in the US. I got 0.5MB down/1MB up. They said "you can't test the speed on the US server, you have to do it with one in the Philippines." :meh:

So I moved the server to Manila. I get 0.6MB down/1.2MB up. They said "no, you have to test it on Cebu servers." :cautious:

Ok, so I switched the server over to Cebu. I get 0.4MB down/1.3MB up. They say, "no, you have to test it on Globe's servers in Cebu." :shifty:

So I pick the Globe server in Cebu. I get 2.3MB down/2.1 up. With big smiles they say "see, that's faster than the plan you are paying for."

GTFO.....just G....T....F....O! :rage: (I didn't say that but I sure AF was thinking it.) I started to explain why the speed test are not representative of the speeds you get while browsing but quickly stopped myself realizing there was absolutely no point in wasting my breath as they probably:
    1. won't understand
    2. won't care
    3. can't do sh*t about it
Now my modem is loosing signal every 30 minutes and I have to manually reboot it to get signal again and my internet is worse than it was before they touched it.

Watching the Philippines try to figure out the internet is like watching a monkey try to drink out of a cup. It's funny at first to watch the monkey interact with technology that he simply cannot comprehend: he has problems just holding on to it with his little hands, he will stick his hands in the cup and splashes the water around making the water dirty and not something you would want to drink yourself and then he will dump the water out on the ground leaving him nothing to drink and start banging the cup against something to let you know he wants a banana now or maybe just to annoy you.......then when you are completely fed up with the noise and mess he has made you start to realize how stupid you were for thinking the monkey would know how to drink out of a cup in the first place. :banghead:

Globe's own website loads like this on their crap internet.

Trying to figure it if their customer support is 24/7. Calling them the next time the router takes a crap and loses signal.....which is scheduled to happen in about 5 minutes. (I'm curious if their own website is even hosted in the Philippines. :roflmao:)
