. Name of the barber shop is "Barberia".. Same place that I go to whenever I'm in town, was originally referred to the place by Terry from "Happy Fred's" a few years back, although Our Barbers name was Norman and He did an excellent job, but unfortunately when I was there this past January Norman was too busy with His eatery, "Normans Eatery" across from the Coastal Inn in Looc a little ways past Tocino Country. As far as I know he also has a barber shop bearing his name right next door to his eatery, although he may not be the one who cuts your hair.. .. BTW, Henry was the last one to cut My hair there and also does a good job.... Norman spent close to 10 years cutting hair in Manila, but decided to come back to duma and open up his own business while still sidelining at Barberia.... Cheers
. Hahaha, Your right.... It was actually for a straight razor shave and also a polishing of His Dome....
So, anybody has any suggestions for a VERY GOOD hair salon that does womens haircut. And also colouring? I'm looking for high quality. Perhaps near Robinson or in Robinson, for that matter. Thanks in advance
Joy, my wife has had pretty good quality work done at a couple of places. One is Cutting Loose 2nd fl Robinson's Mall, I will give you the stylist's name when my wife wakes up. The other place is Carlos Reyes; they have two shops, one around the corner from Robinson's mall in the newer building on the right side near the mall, and their other shop is in town on Perdices about 50 meters south of Silliman Ave.
Jenny is the only one we let do our hair for 2 years now (just made appt with her for this week). She is great with men and women's haircuts!! Now, I have to admit we haven'challenged her with any special or fancy cuts or styles, we just get regular cuts.
0 setting on any electric clippers works for me.....although I had one hole in the wall barber shop manage to screw that up somehow. For a shave I only go to the barber in the vintage inn building in dumaguete. In Valencia I only go to the barber shop half a block down from the lower side of the park, turning in the southern direction. (I'm bad with remembering street names, sorry.)
Btw, the old guy in the barber shop in the vintage inn building is not some mentally handicapped guy just hanging around his family's business. I turned his offer to sit down twice before I saw him actually cutting someone's hair. Actually a good barber, don't use him if you're in a hurry though.
