Utilities & Mobile Great business - Globe load theft

This SIM came with the pocket wifi device I purchased I believe. If it didn't come with it, then I picked it up at the same time and it has never been in a cell phone. I do text people I know once in a while from it. I have purchased load for it a handful of times from the same store and one that I would decently trust. Most of the time I get load sent to my phone and I transfer load to the SIM in the pocket wifi. This SIM gets little exposure to the outside world.

This could be, but there must be a service which allows you to deduct load from an account by an implied agreement based on responding to X request. Globe has an API for sending / receiving texts. Maybe they have the same for an "e-commerce" component. If you can send things to their system, then you can do things they didn't expect for someone to do. If they don't have their systems patched well, then it could be a pay day for someone.

 

I didn't think about that, I either used cards gotten from Galleon Sales at Robinson's mall or E-load purchased there. I do remember buying a Smart load card in Manila at a mall that was DOA, no load on it.

 

Don't look to Smart to solve the problem. I quit using them years ago because they kept stealing my load. I would buy 100 p, and maybe make a couple of texts and it would evaporate. I even went to the "useless" customer service office when I was in Cebu, and the guy almost laughed at me, telling me with a straight face they knew nothing about it. It was basically the same scenario where texts would appear from people I did not know and I would just delete them. Then Smart started using my friends names stored on my sim, and that is when I really got pissed off, and told the guy to f*ck himself, threw the card on the floor and walked out, NEVER to buy a Smart load again.

i loaded p500 prepaid load/scratch card to globe twice so i could do promos and i got ripped twice doing GoSAKTO promos so the little woman got me a globe retailers sim card at PICK & CARRY to be used to load the exact amount of the promo and no more problems (so far.)
