Greetings one and all. I’m looking for hand augers for well drilling, 4” or 6”, have looked in the normal hardware shops. Am I better just to make my own? Thanks
Yes, you can make your own, or order one online and wait forever for it to be delivered. There are other ways to drill a well here though. How deep are you expecting to go?
Hi ya Knowdafish The plan was to use a auger as deep as possible and finish off by driving a 2” spear down around 35 ft.
It would probably be quicker and cheaper to use a good local well driller. They can be found with some concentrated effort contrary to opinions often expressed here.
Ok How much would you expect to spend on a Well dug and lined with perverted concrete pipes to 35 to 40 ft, please.
