    Since this thread wasn't locked, I figure I will post what I know. JadeRune was originally owned by an American nurse and his wife. He, unfortunately, passed away a number of years ago. His wife, I suppose, did not want to continue running the site and ended up giving / selling / donating it to someone else to run. Who actually owns it now, and since then, I have no idea.

    It used to be a good way to meet some decent girls. Not exactly sure what sort of girls may be on the site now, or even the current status of the site.

    I did end up finding the website mentioned in the OP. It looks like there is still some activity on it but I didn't spend too much time on it. Looked like it was sorely in need of a redesign to bring it up to par (it had a very "Geocities" feel to it, complete with animated heart gifs....ugh, getting old, referencing geocities :oldman:). I believe there was even mention of "pen pals" on there....whatever those are. :wink: I take it the target audience is the old fashioned religious type.

    No harm in posting it.

    I'm always suspicious of sites collecting donations that do not say where they are based or only give their nicknames. Even the new owner of the site only gives his christian name.

    Many website owners (and app/program makers) offer their products free and keep advertising off of their site and accept donations as a way to compensate their efforts. I thought about it but decided to go with advertising as it is more reliable income than donations.

    If I were to find a decent lady on his dating site I would make a donation without caring what his real name is. Is there a reason why you think his Christian name isn't his real name? I would think that Christian parents would give their kids Christian names. (I've met people who actually preferred to be called by the full christian name too.)
