It seems that Dumaguete have only suboptimal hospitals. The grandmother of my daughter had to be remitted into Ormoc Doctors Hospital to care a stroke and they handled this quite well. 5 days later the grandmother was able to leave the hospital in a good condition.
By the way, I had to spend a whole month in 2 VA hospitals in the U.S. due to the ineptness of that so called urologist in Dumaguete at Holy Crap hospital. It ALL could have been avoided had he prepared me with a simple catheter for the flight of total time of 32 hours. Expect the unexpected there and learn all you can on your own, do NOT trust those doctors. They are where the saying comes from "doctors bury their mistakes". If that idiot was a U.S. doctor I'd have him for malpractice easily. Am I bitter about him ? You bet. I still have months of VA care ahead of me that could have easily been avoided. Shadow would likely still be alive had he returned to the U.S.. But life is about choices, so choose wisely is all I can say.
