Just want to say hi to everyone.
My wife and I are planning to one day live in the Dumaguete area. She is from Mindanao (Ipil) and I from USA. We have briefly visited Dumaguete and from all we have heard and read it is a very nice place to settle for foreigners such as myself.
We hope to buy a lot and build our dream house together. This looks like a great place to gather info as proceed ahead. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

    Happy New Year to all!

Happy New Year to you and your wife.
Welcome to our site. Enjoy your stay.
So tell us where you are from in the US. I'm from Houston. I've been here exactly one year.

    OK, OK.... I'll admit it.

Yes, I am from that place called Houston Texas, grew up across the freeway from Alameda Mall.
Used to be neighbors and hang out with Carla Fae Tucker...
    Ya'll know her right :-0

Manzanita, you old dog, the truth comes out now. I lived for a few years on Telephone Road at Almeda Road, then Pearland, then Galveston.
Glad to have a neighbor here half way around the world.

Patty - the list is too long to do here. But a few are Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Auto Zone, Pappasitos Tex-Mex restaurants and Texas Gun Shows.
But, here (and I don't mean to get mushy) I am married to the most sweet, loving,
sexiest and super hot looking lady on this planet, so actually those things are not important now. But there are days when I'd really like some Blue Bell chocolate ice cream (it's a Texas thing).

HD - well, I hope you've had your fill of Oregon winters. My local joke now is that the Philippines are in the middle of "winter". It gets down into the 70's at night and only up to about 80F in the daytime. Everybody here (locals) are walking around with long pants and jackets on. My wife is sleeping with two blankets and claims that she is very cold. I tried to tell her that even Houston in the winter gets down at night to the temperature of the inside of our refrigerator. She couldn't relate .........
    Welcome to paradise........
