    Hello to all members of the Dumaguete forum! My name is Bob Trout. I've been married to a wonderful Filipina for 13 years and counting. We currently live in Washington St. near the Canadian border, and plan to retire to Talisay City in 2022. Though I will not be in Dumaguete, I'll perhaps be in the Northern suburbs? lol... I look forward to searching the forum for your valuable information and insights into the transition to being an expat, and making friends here. Thank you all for making this a great and informative forum!

    Dumaguete has a fair amount of likeable Expats.
    If you get the chance to visit once you arrive in Philippines, it's a gateway to other nice places also.

    Welcome Bob, I lived in Hongcouver Canada, not too far from Yah. Married 25.5 years also to a wonderful Filipina. I can tell from your 1st post that you clearly know what many here do. The right Filipina can make for a wonderful life of happiness.... wish you and yours the best of that.

    welcome to the group.
    i logged ~20 years in the bellyham area; got the t-shirt. great place for the outdoor activities types with puget sound and glaciers only 30 miles apart.
