Except in L.A. the motorcycles don't wear a helmet.

    That's life i guess

However we look at it , talk about it, joke about it, the fact is, it is law now and on the statute Books, however it is enforced is something else. It will become just another petty thing, that the officer stopping us, for what ever reason, can Book us for, if we p*ss Him/Her off enough.

What I see more recently is motors with rearview mirrors diameter 2”.
I guess you cannot see anything with this, but maybe they are within the limits of the law.

Actually the laws on the books (and sometimes enforced) Requires anyone driving any vehicle to wear long pants, shoes, use seat belts and wear a shirt. The only thing not required yet is a flag in your car.

Food for thought. As long as they are at it might as well make it a law that people on motorcycles wear seat belts. When I am in a car surrounded by steel I need a seat belt, but on a motorcycle surrounded by nothing I don't need a seat belt ? Now really, does that make sense ? Maybe motorscycles should all have roll cages also.
I know it's an odd concept but how about teaching folks to drive safely, obey & enforce the current laws, stay in their own lane, no weaving in and out and around, perhaps even drive on the correct side of the road, actually have a drivers license that requires training or a test or the equivalent thereof ? I know I have some radical ideas but I sometimes dream.
I personally could care less if someone of proper age wears a helmet, but another novel idea might be to atcually fasten the chin strap if you think helmets really do that much good.
Have a great day. I am not holding my breath for anything here to change in my life-time. Change is not necessarliy for the good anyhow.

Well that sounds like a terrible idea actually. I'd rather take my chances flying off the d*mn motorcycle than being strapped to the thing. The laws of physics says my body should stop moving before the bike does.
