There are thousands of places in this world that’s filled with both natural and man-made wonders that it’s hard for travelers to really choose where they want to go for vacation. While, of course, a lot of people are in favor of going to well-known cities such as New York, Paris, London and Tokyo, if you’re looking for a charming blend of exotic beaches, city life and lovely country towns, then you must travel to Philippines one day.

Philippines is located in Southeast Asia and made up of more than 7,000 islands. Almost everyone in the Philippines can speak and understand English – said to be the universal language – so all tourists wouldn’t find it difficult traveling in the country.

If you’re about to travel to the Philippines or planning to travel anytime soon, here are a few helpful tips to get you by:

Common travel guidelines apply when you’re touring the Philippines. Be sure that you have your passport and ticket handy for inspection. Make sure that you’ve neatly labeled your luggage and that you haven’t brought anything that might not pass scrutiny. If you’ll be taking a long flight, do make sure that you’ve got some candies ready just in case you get airsick. If you’re also worried about getting bored, do bring a book or two with you.

The airport in Manila, the capital of Philippines, is just about the right size for tourists because it’s not large enough that you’d easily get lost or so small that you’d feel cramped. If you have any problems when you travel to the Philippines, don’t hesitate to ask any of the airport officials for help as Filipinos are well-known for their hospitality.

When you travel to the Philippines, you really don’t need a phrasebook to help you get by because almost all Filipinos are able to speak English, even right down to the street vendors selling all sorts of things.

There are only two kinds of weather that you can expect when you travel to the Philippines: hot and rainy. There’s no such thing as four seasons in the country so if you’re going to visit the country from February to May, do make sure that you bring a lot of airy clothes with you. From June to December, the weather ranges from cold to stormy so make sure that you always have an umbrella handy.

One problem you’re sure to encounter when you travel to the Philippines is the heavy traffic in all main streets of Manila. Do reserve a car if you can because it’s easier to travel as such rather than try commuting.
