I am a welsh man I am here looking for a wife, don't trust the internet seek good advice. I work in Iraq as a driver and here on a short stay. I have been told that the girls here make good wifes. At present i am staying in Sibulan with a Philipino friend who also works with me in Iraq. Its a bit sparse where i am staying I am here for 2 weeks I really need a good place to stay any suggestions.

My friend introduced me to a girl thats simply to small and slim, wheres the best place to introduce yourself to girls here. I certainly dont want to go to the bars that host the local prostitutes etc.

Any help will be highly regarded and certainly respected.

    Here Go

Okay, to the best of my knowledge Filipina’s are the best wifes any place in the world very loving and devoted. Just go out to the main boulevard in Dumaguete where everyone sits and talks meet people. Be friendly you will still have to sort through the girls that are just interested rich foreigners. But know this Filipina’s fall in love easy. They are not western even if they act that way. Most are interested in marriage not fun-fun. When you get a girlfriend if you find that she always ask you to buy things or someone is always sick and needs money then she just needs money not you. You should have no real problem meeting girls Dumaguete it is a College town. You sound like a serious guy just be serious about the woman. You will be fine.

I will ask my friend to take me there, but I really dont won't a girl to keep asking for money other than what she really needs. I have heard its best to pay an allowance to the girl and one more to the parents is that, if so what payment would be advisable. My friend said 4000 Peso to the parents per month and 200 Peso a day to the girl per day, that seems fine to me but is it right?

    Merlin-
You started two threads on the same subject. Please stick to one thread per topic. I put my meager contribution on the other one.

d*mn, sounds a little chaotic to me. You might be on a path of trouble.

When you marry a girl in a different culture you are marrying just more than the girl. Are you on a snatch and grab mission so you can head right back to x-ville or are you here to stay for a while? You might consider chilling out and getting to know the Philippines before you marry the Philippines.

This isn't advice for the Philippines, but perhaps survival skills for anywhere you go. Not that I have to talk about survival skills to someone who has worked in Iraq. :D
