Wow, one of the more "welcoming" introduction posts on the forum. Wonder why that might be?

I'm a very white American guy with a ranch in Hawaii (Big Island). Japanese are a large part of the population base in Hawaii, so it seemed a natural language to learn at the university. That being said, I have 2 boys that are 1/2 Japanese (ex-wife).

I have the wife's relatives keeping a lookout for some deals up in the mountains. So far only found one piece of land that was about 5 acres and the price was higher than land in Hawaii, so it didn't interest me in the least... Lots of Filipino land owners are dreamers hoping to snag someone that hasn't done their homework on pricing.

Seems overly expensive to me. In USA terms, that would be around 0.21 acres of land for $25,875. Or approximately $130,000 per acre. In my opinion, most provincial land isn't worth that much.

I see beachfront land in Siargao selling for about 10-50p per sq. meter. Land in the suburbs of Cebu selling around 300p per sq. meter. Is beachfront in Dauin actually worth 1,376p per sq. meter? I haven't seen where the beach there is nice...

hi yes beachfront here in dauin is around P1000-P3000,realy expensive 4 me too,ryt nw we are dealing wth ths property, not a beachfront close to d water just few meters away frm the beach, and it costs 1,100p per sq meter and another property hre in dauin which costs around 3,000/sq.mtr. situated in the proper area. 500sq.mtr. for 1.5M pesos..

Would suit me up in the mountains, weather should be cooler up there. Use to the cool climate of the UK, even in summer it's cool over here. :bored:
