Looks like Cebu and Bohol got hit pretty bad, the loboc church is down along with the old bell tower. We were having breakfast at airport waiting for some friends to arrive. Everyone left quickly and sat down in the car park, praying!

There are fatalities in Bohol, Cebu and Siquijor. The actual figures are changing by the hour, but the current situation in Bohol is 16 dead and 105 casualties. That was a severe wobble but it looks like we got very lucky here as there are no reports (as yet) of fatalities in Neg.Or.
Both Cebu and Bohol are now under declared States of Emergency/Calamity.

Silliman hospital was evacuated with patients going outside for about an hour as a precaution

One woman's bed had a roof made from a sheet over it running head to toe as she was wheeled out and she was covering her face lest the sun's rays touch her skin...

One very sad part is that 5 people were killed in Cebu, not by the earthquake, but by panic driven people trying to exit a building and they crushed these people to death.
I'd put them on trial for manslaughter if I knew who they were and had the power.
Reminds me of the panic we saw when the people here in Dumaguete were fleeing up hill towards Valencia by the thousands from the tsunami that didn't exist. Just started by some rumor.
It was almost the same way, these people would have trampled or run over you to get away from the ghost tsunami.
    Very sad.
Will people ever learn that panic kills ?
