They don't have a webpage yet.
I was visiting it a couple of times and The Dane was there for a couple of days. We can highly recommend it. Very clean, very nice rooms, good value for money. Great stuff.
We will introduce the Hotel and it details by the end of this week.

    Mail : hotelpalwa@yahoo.com

    cheers

    Location

Don´t forget to mention, that Hotel Palwa is also very centrally located right next to the busyest gas station as well as the busyest road in Dumaguete. So it is very easy to fill up your lighter or your rented motorcycle, and you get your daily sniff of 2-stroke fume as well from the numerous tricycles in the area. If you rent a car, the neighboring gas station is also an excellent place to have it washed or serviced.

So there are many advantages from stying in this part om town, and I am sure, that the hotel itself is excellent and good value for money. However, those preferring to stay in a less polluted and more quiet area might want to check out Harolds Mansion or Coco Grande on Hibbard Ave. Or alternatively, if price is not so important, La Recidencia Almar or Bethel Guesthouse on the boulevard.

Luckily Dumaguete has something for nearly every taste. Even the cheap one. OK Pension House is just that - ok and nothing more. But it is cheap.

    Best regards, Lars

I just stayed in Palwa for 5 days and I had none of the problems you mention here.

I had a great room with Internet access for P899

And the staff was about the friendliest people I have met...

I am staying there again on my next trip...

I am not talking about problems. But it is a fact, that Hotel Palwa is situation right in the middle of the most trafficed and thereby also the most poluted part of Dumaguete, and that it is situated right next to the busyest gas station and the busyest road in town. If this is a problem or not depends on, what people like. I tried to describe it with a bit of humour. A more objective description could be, that this hotel is placed very centrally in Dumaguete with the benefits AND drawbacks, that such a location gives.

I have a friend, who regularly visit me in Dumaguete. He would for sure never choose to stay in Hotel Palwa, as the location of this hotel would be completely impalatable to him. But hey, people are different and have different preferences.

    Honeymoon or business

Just as an example, a cupple on honeymoon might find it more romantic to wake up and start their day with a view from their room over the boulevard, rather than to start it with a view over a busy gas station and the national highway, which is always completely jammed by tricycles.

On the other hand, a business traveler might find it convenient, that it is very easy to catch a tricycle right outside the hotel, because there are so many of them, and that many shops and other nessesities are available within walking distance from the hotel.

    Best regards, Lars

    Value for money

As for Hotel Palwa being great value for money, I have no argument with that. My fiancee went inside the lobby shortly after it opened, just to see what it is like, and she liked it a lot also.
