Shawn I no someone in Noreco , I will ask a couple of questions and get back to you , something may be able to be sorted , let me know your thoughts , regards Tony
Tony, if you have no luck for Shawn, talk to me, my wife works at Noreco and if she knows the full story, Things can get Sorted. JP
Tony, If you could get some clarification on the 34K "insurance" based on the number of switches and receptacles that would be great. I'm not opposed to buying my own transformer as how they are running secondaries is not going to work for me. Shawn
Jack...if your wife could explain the insurance thing that would be helpful as it really does not make a bit of sense to me, as everyone can see from the pics my house is not large. I just put in more than one receptacle per room. Shawn
Saturday pics The concrete placement for the living room and kitchen was done. They are doing a good job finishing the concrete, which is why I wanted to break up the placements. It was a good feeling standing on the master bedroom floor. Curing does take a bit longer using a vapor barrier, but I do not want any floor tiles popping up later. Went by the window place but I guess they are closed on Saturday....really want to look at the sample, but it looks like it may be Monday. Shawn
Sorry, can’t remember if it was part of what we paid Polaris and they paid Noreco. Polaris can tell you. I did have to wait until the Noreco Primary Line was installed.
Sunday pics Had 7 workers today, the main work was rendering and compaction. The rendering (short of window openings) and floor slabs will be done in the next couple days. Then I want to get going on the carport and driveway concrete. I'm not going to use a vapor barrier for that as I'm just going with a broom finish and a concrete sealant. I know some folks like to go with tile for their carport, but broom finish is good with me and what I'm more accustomed to seeing. I asked the wife to get me a barrel for the rain water collection; wasn't what I was expecting but it will work. It probably holds around 25 gallons so I will get another one tomorrow. She can get them for 150 peso from a bakeshop (they held vegetable shortning) so you can't go wrong with that. Will need to build a concrete platform so they are sitting high enough that I can run a hose off them to the garden. Shawn
Jack...I asked the wife (again) to explain this better to me and Noreco wants 34K due to the number of receptacles (and going off of my load calculations on the blue prints). It makes no sense to me as if I'm pulling a larger load then I have a higher electric bill; seems more like a penalty to me than "insurance". I've tried to not talk to them personally as I know I'd probably make things worse. If it is OK with your wife, maybe I can PM you my wife's cell # and let her explain it better (or vice versa). Shawn
