Forgot to mention that I plan to start on interior paint this week and hopefully floor tile next week.

Thanks, I'll need to go to Dumaguete in the next day or so and will talk with them on how this will work. Fortunately the primary is on the other side of the highway so I just have a very long run of secondary. It seems the owner who sold us the lot in the "subdivision" is responsible for the extra couple poles and the wire and transformer is on me.

Termite X is what I used, it is a White liquid that is mixed with water. find the nest and this not too hard to do and swamp it with the solution. if you get a fairly long trail of Ants douse, that also, they will carry it back to the Nest or feeding area.
You will never totally eradicate them but at least the can be kept them down a little, in numbers.

Available at YY trading but also at many, Builders Supplies. expensive but works.

I prefer to control ants with gasoline in a spray bottle. Light mist on top of the mound , usually doesn't even take enough to kill the grass and the fumes seep down in and kill the queen. If the wind was high, I would say that covering the mound would be a good idea. Right after it rains is a good time to treat an ant hill as the queen and eggs are moved upstairs so they don't drown. Repeat as necessary. Dousing an ant hill with gas and setting it on fire does very little as the fire draws the fumes that would kill the mound back up. Better living through petrochemicals.

Thanks to Jack and his wife. Azon was able to explain to my wife what this if for. Basically you have to pay in advance in case you do not pay your electric bill they can take it out of the moneys you've paid; after 3 years they will refund it back to you. A weird system, but I put it in the "it is what it is" category, I need power and this is one step of the process.

Shawn, the amount of deposit asked, was apparently based on your electrical Plan You have done right (In my thoughts) by spreading your loads over much equipment. but as we know where we are, they have taken it that with amount of outlets and things they think you will have very big Bills. I might add that you have been rated at 18kv and will most definitely require a Transformer. for sole use.

Glad to have been of help and you know where we are, if we can help any Further.

    Monday pics

All that is left for the interior floor slabs is one small bedroom and the bathrooms. The plumbers showed up today after almost a week absence and were working the catch basins...found a few inlets lower than the outlets, not sure how that happened but it is being corrected.

The sample window showed up today (kitchen as it is the smallest window); really disappointed in it but they wanted to completely install it to show me. The gauge of the steel is not enough, especially when I look at their quote. Spoke with them on what my expectations are so the wife went ahead and gave them the down payment. That kitchen window will be removed and a correct one installed. If you noticed from the pics we have about a 4" gap on each side of the opening...checked the larger openings and it is the same thing. Not sure how they screwed that up and kick my self for not checking before. Told the mason that the gap will need to be filled with concrete not just cement and sand.

Have to run to Dumaguete tomorrow to get some neutralizer and paint. Will also go by Polaris to see how much a 25 kVA transformer and #4 secondary is going to run me. Need to know exactly where they will set the transformer to figure out how much overhead secondary I will need...it is going to be a pretty long run.
