Wednesday pics

My original plan was to rough in the electrical and install the float switch, but it was just too hot up on the roof. I spent the day doing little things around the house. The security alarm panel is very simple as it is pre-programmed so it was pretty much testing devices. I ordered additional smoke detectors that are supposed to work with the panel, but no instructions with either the panel or the detectors on how to address them. I'll contact the company and see how to make it happen.

I really don't like the cheap plastic bathroom cabinet (medicine chest) they have here, but have been unable to find something better. I guess I will end up making some later.

My original plan was to install the water filter before the tank, but the only one I found had 3/4" hubs and I could not get assurance from them that it would stand up to what the pump was pushing. Plus they only had filters for particulates, so this will be a growing set up once I can source other types of filters.

Recent pics

Things have been busy and just got the internet transferred to the house today. Cherry had been going back and forth with them for a few days, but the guys doing the work were really straight up and running lines all the way to our place from their junction for 1000 peso was a bargain in my opinion (which will be billed later).

I already ran conduit from our pole to a J-Box at the house so it was just a matter of splicing the lines I ran to the bedroom and living room.

We moved all of our stuff from the apartment so we are getting things set up in the house as well as working on the exterior work.

I'd say you have a good shot at being a Construction Foreman for any future Expat's. Quite impressive Shawn :D

The couple DI get togethers I've been able to join have only had a handful of folks show up....doubt any members would make the trip to Tanjay but will put the invite out there when the wife decides on a date and time.

Saturday pics

Here are a few pics from yesterday. Should have posted them earlier, but really busy today.

The wife bought an entertainment center, cabinet and a table from the neighbors at the apartment; not my style but it was only 4K for everything...not a fan of particle board. The cabinet the wife wanted for the nieces bedroom was pretty much screwed, put new plywood on the back (painted to match her room) and had to make new drawers.

Also finished the bench/shelves that I put in the pump room as Cherry has been in my @ss to move my tools out. Was good as the TV is set up and connects to my laptop, , so I will be up all night watching the NFL coverage for week 1.

I'm a Cowboy fan so all the haters of the NFL and my team can get it out early...I will be up all night, did BBQ some wings and have some beer, Cherry wants to stay up but will see if she can.

Tuesday pics

I went with 1.5" square tubing, round rod and chain link (cyclone wire) for the fence partitions. I like how chain link looks and as well as keeping good air flow. My original plan was for a couple split AC units but the wife didn't think we need AC and so far she has been correct. The ceiling fans we went with push a lot of air so we have actually given the floor fans to the in-laws.

The rendering will be finished in the next couple days, so as you can see we are really starting to wind down. I am not one to try and boor folks with same pics everyday, so I will only post pics when something interesting comes up.
