HadiFlex is a brand name of fiber concrete board.

Fiber concrete board comes in different thicknesses. It can be purchased in thicknesses that are strong enough to withstand being kicked in.

Who said anything about coconut husks? The discussion was about rice hulls.

A 4inch steel stud wall with 12mm Hardiflex fitted outside and 4.5mm on the inside filled with Rice Hulls (Coconut Husks were never mentioned here?) also when filling they are vibrated, they consolidate very well, No Filipino is going to kick through that wearing a pair of Flip Flops, mostly the thief's around here are opportunists and look for open windows and doors, this method will give you great insulation and I am guessing? but would say it will provide soundproofing much better that a rigid material like CHB, some of these loud Bass notes from their Karaoke's can sure shake a house down, haha

This has gone from building a nippa hut to building house made of 4 inch steel studs.
I mentioned that I used Hardiflex and metal studs on my roof deck and it saved me from mixing sand and cement.
That's all. Have a nice day.

You are correct I did not substantiate my claim of CHB having a value of R minus 10, this was said Tongue in Cheek, I was just poking a little fun out of all the Naysayers here that live in their fine CHB house, having spent all that money building them, then spending even more money on the big AC units to cool them and the expense of the Big Electric bills they have to run them, they do not want to hear about houses that can be built that are cheaper to run and perhaps more Eco Friendly? Sorry for having such a distorted sense of humour, I will try and control it in Future, please accept my Apology, hehehe

LOL - Depends on the size of the hammer and the thickness of the fiber concrete board.

The funny part is that you are comparing this to concrete hollow block. A mid-sized 5 lb hammer will get through unfilled regular CHB quickly. This mountain sand stuff even easier.

Cast in place walls would be another matter. But what is the point? Either way they are going to make a lot of noise. They can simply kick in the door.

I am not sure you want to vibrate and consolidate the rice hulls. It may reduce the R-Value. Research this to make sure.

I'm not comparing anything. I already told you that.
