Ausie ... decent english ... uhu..

not sure how long you are in the PI, what kind of girls you know and from where. If you only get that reaction, you should think either about your english or the about the girls you talk to...

the species you describe can learn the whole webster and you could not talk about anything, as their interest is pretty limited (like mentioned above) and nothing would change that and there are many of them.

I meet each Saturday in a small local club with outstanding english speaking locals (some pretty young ladies there as members, by the way), that still does not change the fact that it is hard to have a decent conversation with them due to the fact, that their experience and interest is on a low level, even to local topics.

My question is; why would you marry a girl that didn't speak your native language good enough to have an intelligent conversation? If you married without good communication, gaining that communication could quite possibly turn you off to your asawa once you realize what a complete moron she might be.

But honestly, for hose guys who married a girl that hasn't achieved a basic understanding of English and able to carry somewhat of an intelligent conversation.....do you really think they married her for her mind and are truly interested in what she has to say? And do you really think she married him because of his intellect? He wants her to look pretty cooking and she wants to go shopping.

I think that all the happily married guys here would not like your attitude towards the women here and your opinion why they married their wives, you obviously have a low opinion of women in general, but you apparently help some of the poor girls that have, or choose to prostitute themselves to put bread on the table, I am totally astounded with the replies even from our mediator that should mediate not make demeaning comments about the local women here, and have his say that he thinks is the most perfect and then close the thread.
If there was a good English teacher available here would you like lessons for your wife? Was my original question, and it has lead to the posts replied.
I bow my head in shame for what seems to be the majority of the expats opinions here, good luck to you all.

    Brian,
Sorry if the sarcasm was offensive. It never occurred to me that anyone would agree.
