I am adding a mod that will take any image you upload to the site and throw it on my Imgur account. This is "technically" my personal Imgur account but it has only been used for this site. If I am able to I will change the name of the Imgur account to DumagueteInfo to avoid any confusion I will. These photos will be loaded to a semi-private folder there. Meaning that only the DI servers and people who know the exact link to the folder will have access to them from Imgur.

I am doing this because I have noticed that most people are mainly using the "Upload a File" button to post images to the forum (even if the images do not belong to them....which is not what that button is designed for) instead of copying the image link and pasting it using the image button next to the smilies button. When you "upload a file" you are uploading it to the DI servers...and I have limited storage space for attachments.

But....none of that will matter now as all uploads will be redirected to my Imgur account and my limit there far exceeds the amount of photos that could possibly be uploaded from this forum alone. So post your pictures using whatever method you like.

I am making the changes now. If there are any changes in how the upload procedure will work I will post them here. Hopefully this will happen all behind the scenes so that nothing on the front end changes. Just FYI.

I have removed the old upload button. You now upload a file by scrolling down to the "Remote Upload Images".

Uploading is much the same using this method. Here you have two options. You can upload from your Computer (this is the default view) or by an URL. I'll go over adding one from your computer.

    1. Click the "Add Images":

    2. Select the image from your computer files and click "Open"/"OK"/"Select" (depends on your OS, whatever is opposite of "Cancel":

    3. Select the size you want the picture to show as and click "Upload" or just click "Upload" to keep the original picture size. It will start to upload, looking like this:

    4. After it uploads click "Insert" and it will insert the picture wherever your cursor is currently at in the reply box. You can upload more than one at a time.

The links that you see are the location where they are stored at on Imgur.

Adding one by URL is quicker and almost the same process. If you don't know how to find an image URL (from an image already on the internet) then all you have to do it right click on the image and then left click the option "Copy image URL". Then move to the box where it asks for the image URL, paste the link and hit enter. You can then insert the picture the same as uploading from a computer.

You must remember to click "Insert" or the images will not be added to your post. You can add images if you edit your post later on. Any images larger than 600x600 will have the DI watermark added to it (as they have here).
