why don't someone build something like this downtown? Seems it would clear more profit than any of the new hotels are likely to. GERMAN PARKING GARAGE in Munich , Germany STATE OF THE ART GERMAN PARKING GARAGE COOL!!! This is pretty amazing! Can you imagine how all this operates? How do they lock each car in its cubicle for safety? WHO CARES? NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND COULD GET IN IT HERE. (But believe me, the Germans WILL LOCK THAT CAR!) Talk about German efficiency! The two photos above were taken at a new parking garage in Munich . The actual space that the facility occupies is approximately only 20% of a comparable facility with the traditional design that is used primarily in the US . Not only is the German structure less expensive to build, but vehicles are also 'retrieved' in less time and without the potential of being damaged by an attendant Larry
I don't know if they have this in Munich, but it is indeed German. The Car-Towers belong to "Volkswagen" in Wolfsburg/Germay, opened 2000. VW stores 800 new cars in each of the 2 towers. Customers can go to the sales agent, tell what car they want and a few minutes later their new car stands in front of them. Visitors of the "Autostadt" can book tours inside the towers. www.autostadt.de - Startseite > Attraktionen > Fahrattraktionen > TurmFahrt
That's really funny, when I posted it I almost mentioned Volkswagen engineering concepts, having worked for Volkswagen of America for a number of years. Larry
