    From my installer, he had it shipped from Manila. (Expensive) but should last 10 years or more.

    How strange ? what's your internet provider ?
    Over the years we have used 2 different methods of internet but both come from PLDT.
    First we had an 80ft mast that used to get a signal from a transmitter in Bacong so if blackout in Bacong no internet even though we had power at our house.
    Now we have fiber and if there is a blackout we have no internet even if our house has power.

    Is this due to some relay station requiring electricity because when my electricity goes I retain my internet. And I use PLDT.

    Yes, the installer told me that there is a box (that i have never seen or looked for) somewhere along the road that all the connections for this area comes from and it requires to be connected to the electricity.
