    Trawl a Little!

 Tubig, Hi, Jack P, here saying hello, Over the last 3/4 months there have been OH SOOOOO many Threads/Posts asking the same question. Just have a Trawl through a few and you will see, so many are asking this very same Question. For me in Batinguel SMART BRO works, Bacong has other Bests! I have an Idea, just what part of Bacong you live will provide some Clue. Valencia is then a different story, YET! we are all in the same catchment area. This is not an easy Question to answer. :(

Tubig, which part of Bacong are you in? It makes a difference. Skycable goes as far as 1 street past SPI. Globe goes further out as does ITQEST. I live in Bacong but can't have either yet because there are on Noreco power lines for the carriers to piggyback off of, so for now I am using SmartBro attached modem (only recommended as a last resort). I will go to globe internet once qualified.

If you are going to use Sky Cable for cable tv, you can ask them if they service your area. If not, I would go to Globe for internet. I use SmartBro but the signal is weak and slow where I live.

Internet comes in the house in different ways.
You can connect trough a cable (Globe & Skycable) or wireless (Globe, Smart and SUN) and ITQEST.
Wireless (GLOBE, SMART AND SUN) are different from ITQEST in that way that you can connectr trough a cheap tattoo, some device that you connect in an USB-slot, a 3G-phone or a short antenna provided by the internetcompanie.
As far as i know ITQEST needs a tall and expensive antenna(count between 20,000 and 30.000 pesos)
As techniques are changing constantly, an expensive investment does not make sense to me.

Go for PLDT now conquering Dumaguete City they have a good service and more speed than the speed you sign up for...like you sign up for 1MB they give you more than 1MB based on my speedtest when I checked it.

WE have been using ItQuest because it is our only option. The install was 10,000p. So far I have been happy with both the service and their support. It is higher priced so I would only recommend it if you are not able to get a provider that is not wireless.
